History

The Pioneer Valley Quilt Guild was formed in 1988 by JoAnne Parisi, Eleanor Tonelli, Dorothy Paquette, Joanne Pelletier, Rosalie Keegan, and Jean Thibodeau.

Over the last 30 years, our membership in this guild has grown to 100+ members.   After COVID we are currently about 45 members and growing again.

Today

The guild welcomes quilters of all skill levels. Although the guild does not "teach sewing or quilting" at our meetings, many of our meetings have guest lecturers, trunk shows, and vendors.  You will learn how other quilters started their journey into this wonderful art & learn the newest techniques and trends.

Our guild has many committees devoted to philanthropic missions.  Each year we donate hundreds of pillowcases to children at local hospitals, quilts to shelters in the area, food to open pantries, cardiac pillows and more.

Every other year we host a quilt show to promote the art of quilting.
